Nissan Motor announced on July 18 that, following its announcement on the 15th that its Oppama Plant in Japan would cease production before the end of fiscal year 2027 and that it planned to transfer production to its Kyushu Plant, the company had immediately begun communicating with key stakeholders. Nissan had initiated dialogues with the local government and was working to establish a cooperative framework with relevant stakeholders. The company held a supplier briefing today to outline the transition plan and share key information, emphasizing the importance of supplier cooperation in ensuring the smooth and coordinated transfer of production. Additionally, formal communication between Nissan and the labor union is set to commence.
